The rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is unsettling, changing the daily life and the operations of many businesses, schools and workplaces. There is a great deal of uncertainty and we would like you to know that the health and well-being of people is what matters most. In accordance with public health measures that state any gathering over 50 people should be cancelled or postponed and noting the facilities do not meet the requirements for social distancing, we will be postponing the Concrete Alberta ACI Field Testing Certification which was scheduled for April 16-17, 2020. A future date for this event has not yet been set and you will be notified when the event has been rescheduled.
The ACI Certification Program for Concrete Field Testing Technicians - Grade 1 has been developed for the purpose of certifying concrete technicians who have demonstrated the knowledge and ability to perform, properly, the basic field tests on plastic concrete.
Certification of field test personnel by CSA International, Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories (CCIL) or the ACI Field Technician Certification Program Grade 1 (Canada) is a requirement of the CSA standard for concrete A23.1 Concrete materials and methods of concrete construction published by Canadian Standards Association (CSA)
Please note: This is not a training course. It is a certification program. Prior testing experience is highly recommended. In addition to prior testing experience, please study the workbook prior to the course!
If an examinee is incapable of understanding the written examination, it may be administered orally upon approval of the Examiner at least 14 days in advance of the exam date.
